Künstlerische Tatsachen - Artist & Science Residency
As part of the Art & Science Residency 2025, Viennese artist Saffi Adler collaborated with the Ernst-Haeckel-Haus and the Phyletic Museum in the summer of 2025. In doing so, she questioned practices of collecting, preserving and classifying in natural history: In her video and projection works "(Postcards from) the paper-thin Weimar Republic", the artist superimposes sound and film material from Hollywood films and advertisements with her own recordings from the local collections. In this way, Saffi Adler questions traditional visual orders of scientific representation and encourages reflection.
